Mihaja Raonivololona

Mihaja is Projet Jeune Leader’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Systems Integration Manager, based in Fianarantsoa. Since joining PJL, he has contributed to nearly every part of the organization – capturing quantitative and qualitative data on the impacts of our programs, collaborating with staff to design data-informed improvements, helping design our constituent accountability strategies, and implementing special projects including a menstrual health initiative and programs on gender-based violence.He joined PJL’s Monitoring and Evaluation team in 2018, where he developed strong expertise in M&E, data collection, and data management. Over the years, he has expanded his technical skills by learning new tools, including QGIS and KoboToolbox.

Today, Mihaja leads efforts to strengthen and integrate sustainable monitoring, evaluation, and data management systems across PJL’s operations. He works to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and effectively connected throughout the full program cycle — from training educators and teachers to monitoring program quality. His work helps teams make informed decisions and supports the long-term adoption and scaling of effective systems and approaches. Mihaja also plays an important role in generating and analyzing evidence that informs PJL’s advocacy efforts and supports the integration of its approaches into national strategies and systems.

Before joining PJL, Mihaja spent two years working with a youth development organization in Fianarantsoa. He joined PJL as an educator in 2015–2016. From 2013 to 2016, he also served as a volunteer coordinator for the YMCA branch in Fianarantsoa and as Vice-President of the Municipal Youth Council. Mihaja is currently pursuing a Master II’s degree in Development Studies and Management.
