We are thrilled to release Projet Jeune Leader's 2022-2023 Annual Report!
This past year, Projet Jeune Leader took a leap of faith — delivering our comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) model at an unprecedented scale in Madagascar. In the 2022-2023 school year, we forged a groundbreaking partnership with Madagascar's National Ministry of Education which allowed us to train, equip, and support government teacher-trainees to become specialized CSE Educators. Along with our PJL-hired Educators, we delivered our CSE program in some of the country's most rural public schools and reached over 50,000 young adolescents in total in 2022-2023.
Not only did this new approach allow us to reach thousands more young adolescents, but it continued to demonstrate the transformative power of CSE and accelerated our vision of mainstreaming CSE in Madagascar. Our 2022-2023 Annual Report shares the extensive efforts behind this new delivery model and the impacts as we’ve witnessed them ourselves and through the eyes of students, parents, and school principals.
While piloting the teacher-trainee model was undoubtedly a highlight of the year, that wasn’t all! We continued to support dozens of PJL-hired CSE Educators, strengthen our programming, conduct participatory research, and contribute to global knowledge on the importance of CSE.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our team and the support of our partners and champions. We are deeply grateful to all who have supported us this past year, and we look forward to working together in the year ahead.
